My CDs

You can either marvel at my eclecticism; shake your head in dismay at my philistinism; or worry about the oddball psychological compulsion that drove me to do this. But in any case, here's my current compact disc collection. As if you care. Browse away!

Notes:

• The CDs are viewable on multiple "shelves" and (yes) that corresponds pretty well with the way they are arranged at home.

• The CDs are (roughly) in artist order, although my scheme causes some confusion between Celine Dion and Dion (as in Dimucci). Oops. Apologies to one or the other. Or both.

• The stars are not meant to convey each disc's objective cosmic quality. I have an algorithm to choose CDs for insertion into my CD player or importing into iTunes: the stars reflect the relative probability that a CD will be chosen (a 5-star CD being 5 times more likely than a 1-star CD). So a small number of stars may simply mean that I've pretty much memorized the music and don't need to hear it that much any more.

• Clicking the title should take you to Amazon, where you can buy the CD, or (in many cases) the vinyl, or MP3s. (I didn't check this rigorously, though.)
